Sindoh, a company that specializes in 2D and 3D printing, signed an MOU for a strategic partnership with Materialise, a Belgium-based 3D software company, at Formnext 2019. With the signing of the MOU, Sindoh plans to introduce its 3D printing technology to the global market and start developing its overseas business.
Sindoh is leading the 3D printing market in Korea with its extensive lineup of 3D printers. It recently signed an MOU to develop a next-generation large industrial 3D printer with Materialise, the world’s leading 3D printing software provider. The two companies plan to introduce next-generation large industrial 3D printers by 2020. Materialise, as a company renowned worldwide for its software, and Sindoh, which possesses a wealth of product design expertise, will collaborate on the development of new products for the global 3D industry.
The signing ceremony of the MOU was held at this year’s edition of Formnext, the world’s leading additive manufacturing exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany. Like last year, Sindoh set up a booth at the expo to introduce its 3D printer products from November 19 to 22.
“We expect that this partnership with the world-renowned 3D printing software provider Materialise will help us to develop the next-generation 3D printers and enter the industry. We are certain that our collaboration will lead to a significant outcome,” declared Sindoh Chairman Woo Seok-hyeong after signing the MOU. “We are very pleased to cooperate with Sindoh, which is widely recognized as the best printer manufacturer with the most outstanding product quality in Korea, on this project to develop the next-generation 3D printers. We expect the combined technical know-how of our two companies to result in a great outcome,” said Materialise CEO Wilfried Vancraen.
