Sindoh participates in 3D printing international exhibition and conference “Formnext 2021”

Sindoh, an expert company in 2D and 3D printing technologies, participated in Formnext 2021, a 3D printing fair held in Frankfurt, Germany, and attracted considerable attention from businesses worldwide. At the fair, Sindoh demonstrated its various 3D printers including “fabWeaver,” a premium 3D printer brand, and “Type A530” to be launched in the early part of 2022.

International exhibition and conference “Formnext 2021”

Taking place in Frankfurt, Germany for four days from Nov. 16 to Nov. 19, Formnext 2021 is the largest 3D printing fair in the world. The fair was held only online last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic but took place offline this year. The Formnext fair was considered the largest 3D printing fair in 2019 before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic with some 850 exhibitors and about 34 thousand visitors.

Premium 3D Printer Brand “fabWeaver”

Sindoh launched premium 3D printer brand fabWeaver at Formnext 2021. The brand name “fabWeaver” is a combination of “fab” from fabrication and fabulous and weaver; fab stands for manufacturer’s technologies, and Weaver, the creative technologies of the creator. The main values of fabWeaver—‘‘High Technology, End-to-End Solution, and Innovative Future”—suggest the path that Sindoh should take with its 3D printers. The exhibit booth of Sindoh at Formnext 2021 offered a refined atmosphere by being decorated with careful selection of orange color as the main brand color of FabWeaver. Having made its debut in the 3D printer markets, fabWeaver revealed its smart design of the new brand of Sindoh at the fair to attract the attention of visitors.

3D printers featuring three different printing modes

Other printers of Sindoh exhibited at the fair include Type A530 of FFF mode, Sindoh S100 of SLS mode, and Sindoh A1SD of SLA mode, which make up the product lines of 3D printers of different printing modes.

The Type A530 launched at the fair is the first 3D printer model applied with the fabWeaver brand. The printer is a next-generation legacy 3D printer featuring printing stability, dimensional precision, and convenient operation. Type A530 boasts of a printing quality capable of fabricating a working prototype for checking the apparent shape design as well as reviewing and supplementing the functions and capabilities of printed products in advance. Tangerine, who has continuously designed the products of Sindoh, designed the product to maintain the overall consistency of the 3D printer product lines while enhancing the sophisticated feeling.

Sindoh’s S100 of 3D printer of SLS mode, developed based on collaboration with Materialize, boasts of its huge dimensions as an industrial 3D printer. The printer further fascinated customers with its features such as PA12 technology capable of fully recycling powder, open-material orientation, and easy parameter changing. All of the visitors who saw Sindoh S100 at the fair lauded the potential and insight of Sindoh for launching its industrial 3D printers in full force.

In addition, Sindoh A1SD of SLA mode, which specializes in the dental application markets, gained a good impression among visitors. Sindoh A1SD—which is capable of handling dental prosthesis samples and different resin materials—and Dental Platform, which is under trial operation by Sindoh in Korea, were also demonstrated to make a strong impression on businesses in the dental application markets.

Discussions with a number of global businesses

People of global businesses from various countries visited the booth of Sindoh and had business discussions with Sindoh. The number of visitors who left their contact information at the booth exceeded 360, but the actual number of visitors is expected to be higher when considering the visiting resellers. A typical scene was the booth of Sindoh being crowded throughout the four days of the fair. CEO Wilfried Vancraen and CTO Bart Van der Schueren of Materialize visited the booth to discuss the businesses and future marketing of Sindoh S100, and 3D Systems CTO David Leigh was provided with a description of the products and the functions of Sindoh S100. People from Formlabs also visited the booth to discuss further jobs such as development of post-processing machining tools of SLS.

People from other businesses also visited the booth of Sindoh to have meetings with Sindoh: Evonik & BASF, a plastic powder maker; SCANLAB, a laser scanner part maker; Distech for the manufacture and servicing of BOS devices in Europe; Cipress, a service bureau business of Germany, and; 3D Infinity of Belgium. The Sindoh staff who participated in the fair visited the exhibition booths of other participants to experience physically the world’s trends and directions of 3D printing businesses, and such experiences will be utilized as basic data for manufacturing products that Sindoh should apply and pursue further in the areas of printing modes, materials, and needs of customers.

This year’s fair provided me with opportunities to meet physically people of the industry whom I had to meet in a contactless manner last year, and such opportunities are expected to lead to the continuous formation of an intimate relationship with them. We successfully demonstrated the products at the fair with the active cooperation and support of people of the company, and I would like to give special thanks to Senior Manager Thomas Kim for his operation of the fair in a premium and world-class manner and attention to the safety of the participant staff of the company.

Kim, Hyeon-Su, manager of Development Team 2
I am sincerely grateful to the resident staff during the 9-day travel period for the extensive help and support and colleagues including the team leaders and managers for supporting my travel jobs. Someone said that you can really experience sweetness when partaking of fruits nurtured together, but it seems I felt the sweetness even during the nurturing of the fruits. I am confident that participating in such a big fair will be an opportunity for self-development. I wish the company establishes an atmosphere for the active participation in such events by people of all sectors.
