Sindoh participated in the Rapid+TCT, 3D Technology Additive Manufacture Engineering Exhibition held in the U.S., and unveiled the new industrial 3D printer ‘fabWeaver Type A530’.
world’s foremost influential international 3D exhibition
Rapid+TCT is the most influential exhibition in the U.S., and was held in Detroit, Michigan for 3 days during May 17~19. Rapid+TCT is hosted by ‘SME (the Society of Manufacturing Engineer)’ boasting over 200,000 members based on decades of experience and know-how on 3D technology, and also by ‘Rapid News Publication’, a leading 3D-focused trade journal with a 30-year history. The exhibition was held from 2016, and a total of 400 companies from 35 countries participated in the event.
As the exhibition for general users of 3D, there were various visitors at Rapid+TCT. At this year’s exhibition, a corresponding online event was held simultaneously for the visitors unable to participate due to COVID 19, and this hybrid method provided an opportunity for active communication on and offline.
Industrial 3D printer with outstanding performance and design, ‘fabWeaver Type A530’
The Type A530 was introduced through ‘Wohlers Report LIVE’, a pre-event held on May 16, as well as by the headlining ‘key note’ speakers on the first day of the exhibition on the 17th. Through this, the Type A530 received great acclaim and interest from many visitors throughout the exhibition period.
In addition, visitors to the booth were approached proactively to introduce the Type A530, providing an opportunity to explain in detail many advantages, such as automatic replacement and loading of filament and heating chamber function.
Visitors got a positive first impression of the new product, calling it a stylish and professional 3D printer. The Type A530 received the award in the Industrial Design Sector at the ‘Reddot Design Award 2022, and the advantages of the product were pointed out to be the design concept appropriate for the industrial 3D printer, harmonious design of straight lines and curves, the color touchscreen to enhance user convenience, the embedded table, etc.
As for the most important factor of its printing quality, it was assessed that the sample printed with ABS was expressed to be very sophisticated and precise. The 3D printer using the FFF (fused filament fabrication) method has a disadvantage of rough surface in the process of removing the support, but the Type A530 uses the RSA (rapid soluble A) support material that is a water soluble filament, while even a sophisticated design or form is printed with a smooth surface when printing the support.
Visitors to the fabWeaver booth
The booth design was applied with the main color of fabWeaver as orange to provide a sophisticated image, and especially, the 3D printed samples of the characters from the global hit TV series ‘Squid Game’ created a sensation among the crowd.
On the second day, Senior Manager Kihong Kim gave a presentation on the topic of ‘Democratization of FFF Technology’ at the Tech hub Presentation Hall situated at the center of venue, and had the opportunity to introduce the design and functional features of the Type A530 as a 3D printer for prototypes.
Among the crowd, most of them were 3D related companies based in Michigan and automobile companies such as GM, Toyota, Honda, etc., and workers from the S/W industry, potential resellers, and even high school and university students also visited the booth with high interest in learning about the products and printed materials of Sindoh.
3D Business HQ Director Yong hyun Ji at Sindoh explained, “We will continue our best efforts to impress the workers in the global 3D industry on the brand identity and added value of fabWeaver through this Rapid+TCT exhibition.” And with strong confidence in the 3D Business Division he added, “Sindoh will continue to participate actively in domestic and overseas exhibitions to develop into the global brand based on our know-how and prowess in 3D.” Please stay tuned for Sidoh’s global business performance in the 3D business.
